Mt. 8:14a Now when Yeshua had come into Peter's house,
Mk. 1:29 Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John.
Lk. 4:38a Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon's house.
After the synagogue service the Jews gathered for their Sabbath meal. Yeshua had been invited to the house of Simon Peter and Andrew.
Mt. 8:14b He saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever.
Mk. 1:30 But Simon's wife's mother was sick with fever, and they told Him about her at once.
Lk. 4:38b But Simon's wife's mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her.
Peter's mother-in-law, at this point, happened to be sick with a high fever. The fact that Peter had a mother-in-law ells us at least the "first Pope" was married, even if none of the others were. Notice that Matthew and Mark both say that she was sick with a fever. Luke, being a doctor, is the only one that identifies it as a "high fever." It should also be understood that having a high fever could be a very dangerous situation which sometimes could lead to death. The people back then did not have the medical knowledge we have today.
Mt. 8:15 And He touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she arose and served them.
Mk. 1:31 So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her. And she served them.
Lk. 4:39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.
Yeshua healed her by touching, which was common in Rabbinic literature. The Talmud, for instance, tells of Rabbi Yochanan who had such power to heal by touching. "The main labours prohibited on the Sabbath are forty less one, sowing, ploughing, reaping, binding, sheaves, threshing, winnowing, cleansing, grinding, sifting, kneading, baking, shearing the wool and washing, or beating or drying it, spinning, weaving, making two loops, weaving two threads, separating two threads, tying a knot or loosenig one, sewing two stitches, tearing in order to sew two stitches, hunting a deer and slaughtering it, or flaying it or salting it or curing its skin or cutting it up, writing two letters, erasing in order to write two letters, building, demolishing, kindling, striking with a hammer, carrying from one domain to another. These are the chief labours forbidden on the Sabbath -- forty less one." according to the Mishnah and Talmud.

Mt. 8:16a When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed.
Mk. 1:32 Now at evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.
Lk. 4:40 Now when he sun was setting, all those who had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on them and healed them.
The next thing that happened is after sunset. The reason that it happened after sunset is because the Pharisees taught that it was unlawful to heal on the Sabbath. If you look at the list of prohibited labors just above, you cannot find healing included in them at all. There is also no prohibition in the Mosaic Law for healing on the Sabbath. But the people wait util after sundown in order that th Sabbath has ended to bring those who were sick to Yeshua. Notice there is a careful distinction between physical sickness and demon-possession. It is wrong, as some groups in churches today, that all sicknesses are due to some kind of demon. The Bible makes a distinction between physical disease and some kind of demon-possession, but Yeshua healed both types.
Mk. 1:33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door.
Mt. 8:16b And He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick.
Mk 1:34 Then H healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
Lk. 4:41 And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, "You are the Messiah, the Son of God!" And He rebuked them, and did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Messiah.
Whenever demons publicly proclaim His deity and His Messiahship, Yeshua also force the demons to silence. The reason for this is that demons make poor character witnesses. If you need a character witness at a trial, for instance, the last person you would want is a man like Adolf Hitler or Stalin. People like that are not good character witnesses, even if what they are saying is true. Demons are the same way.
Mt. 8:17 That if might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses."
